Women's PRograms

Our all women’s programs were built out of a clear need in the community to give women the space to train comfortably and step into an environment that’s often seen as intimidating and frequently, male – dominated. Our goal is to make the art of muay thai more accessible and to create a positive, safe space where everyone can grow, experience new things, and learn, without ego, and without judgement.

The all women’s classes are a diverse community of women that have grown to become a family. From students, mothers, grandmothers, working professionals, and athletes, our women’s only classes are for everyone. We work to empower our students and create a welcoming and kind environment to make it easier to walk through our doors. By bringing  muay thai and jiu jitsu to different women in the community, we hope to bring visibility to the sport, to women in the sport, and really, to help women feel safer and more capable.

Ultimately, we want to create an inclusive space for women to let down their guard and step into their strength. We’re happy to have created some unique programs that aren’t really found anywhere else. Read below to see what each class is like – we hope to see you soon.

Muay Thai

Our all women’s muay thai program is unique in that it’s taught by two of our female fighters, Gabby and Yulia. Our goal is to create a fun, positive environment to make the class accessible and doable for all – regardless, of age, fitness level, or experience level. We teach fundamental muay thai technique each week that mirrors the techniques taught during our weekly classes. Each week is a different aspect of muay thai. The goal is to learn something new, sharpen what you already know, and build upon what you’ve learned each week while increasing your general fitness.

Here’s what to expect in all Women’s Muay Thai:

  • If it’s your first day, show up 10 minutes before class starts to make sure your waiver is complete and to get familiar with the gym
  • Warmup: jump rope, jogging, body weight exercises, stretching – the goal is to warm up the body and stretch out the muscles
  • Technique: if it’s your first day, you’ll get some 1 on 1 attention with a coach to get you set up on fundamentals – your stance, how to move, basic punches and kicks. If you’ve been here before, we’ll review a technique that fits the theme of the week, doing partner drills, pad work, or sparring
  • Cool down: wrap up class with some conditioning – body weight or weighted

What to bring: Water, comfortable workout clothes. No shoes on the mat. No gear needed, we have gear to borrow or buy.
