Omar Mateen competed this past weekend in Flagstaff, winning the 132 lb Monster light-featherweight title. Omar fought a familiar opponent from Pinto Muay Thai, rematching someone he fought last year, after his first opponent had to pull out last minute for medical reasons.
Omar put on a 5 round clinic showcasing what Sitan muay thai is all about. Winning a unanimous decision, Omar did a ton of damage throughout the 5 rounds, dominantly winning his belt.
We’re proud of the hard work that Omar puts in day in and day out of the gym – as an athlete, and as a coach. Thank you to everyone who helped with Omar’s camp and helped out covering classes during fight week.
